These AirPods 2019 are of the second generation and are even more advanced than the first variant. Apple's distinctive white earbuds can be connected wirelessly via Bluetooth to your iPhone or iPad. A completely new Apple H1 headphone chip has been chosen for this newer variant. This way sound is even better and different sensors are used to detect how you wear the caps. Sound is automatically sent to one or two earphones, which means you can always enjoy the sound optimally.
Calling with a more audible voice
Of course you can also use the AirPods 2 as a headset, because there are built-in microphones in the earbuds. Thanks to special microphones, external sound is filtered out. This makes your voice easier to hear and makes conversations even clearer.
Charging AirPods 2 via charging case
The included box also contains the white characteristic colour and has a built-in battery. This charging case itself is charged via a lightning cable and allows you to charge the earbuds several times. If you leave the AirPods 2 in the case for 15 minutes to charge, you can listen to up to 3 hours of music!
Improved listening time for music
The battery life of the first generation of Apple earplugs was already good enough for many people, but has now been further improved. For example, it is possible to listen to music for up to five hours or make calls for up to three hours via a Bluetooth connection. If you fully charge the battery in the case, you can even enjoy up to 24 hours of listening fun with this Bluetooth headset.
Hey Siri, let's listen to music
Of course it is also possible to use the digital assistant Siri in combination with the second generation AirPods. Where in the first variant you had to tap twice on an earpiece to start Siri, this is now also possible by voice. It is now just a matter of calling out‘ Hey Siri’ and then give your voice command. Playing music, asking about the weather, or checking the travel time, Siri can do it all.
Connecting AirPods 2 with Android
Do you have an Android phone? Then you can also use the AirPods 2. However, some functions are missing. For example, you cannot start Google Assistant, the music does not pause automatically as soon as you remove the AirPods from your ears, and you cannot see the battery status of the earbuds and charging case on your smartphone.
It can sometimes happen that the AirPods do not seem to work properly with Android. This has to do with the settings. As an Android user, you need to set the Bluetooth audio codec to AAC for an optimal connection. You can do this via the developer settings on your Android phone.
